COVID Update 4th May
To all of our loyal friends and customers...
First of all, we hope that all of you and your loved ones are all well and safe in these extremely difficult times. Our thoughts are with everyone who has been affected by the pandemic and our sincere thanks and gratitude go out to everyone working so hard on the front line to keep us safe. You are our heroes and your dedication to others will be remembered.
We wanted to let you know that all of the staff here at the Pavilion are still following the Government's orders to isolate at home, therefore the theatre remains closed.
With every passing day as the lockdown continues, our job to reschedule our 2020 programme of shows (and to re-organise thousands of ticket bookings) grows bigger and bigger. As a small independent venue that receives no financial support other than bums-on-seats and with all of our staff in lockdown, this is no easy task.
To each and every one of our customers with tickets, please hold onto them and rest assured that you WILL be contacted as soon as it is safe and appropriate for us to get back into the Theatre to do so. We are all facing this crisis together and your patience whilst we figure out our route back to normality is sincerely appreciated.
Tonight would have been the opening night of our 2020 Summer Season, which has been running for 6 months of the year EVERY year for the past 25 years. However, instead of last minute tweaks and a buzz of excitement in the air, this year our stage will be silent and our doors will remain closed.
Everyone here at the Pavilion is itching to get back to doing what we do best, which is to keep the Pavilion Theatre alive by keeping you entertained.
However until the time comes when we are able to throw our doors open again to welcome you back in, please stay safe and follow us on our social pages where we will do everything we can to keep you as up to date as possible as things change.
Thank you all again for your patience and kind messages, we can't wait to see you all again soon.
Stuart, Kevin, Luke, Alex & the entire family at the Pavilion x
