Full Capacity Re-Opening: How we are re-opening Safely
As part of the government's announcements last week, we have now moved to the final step of the re-opening roadmap.
From today (Monday 19th July) we are operating at full capacity but there are a number of measures that we are keeping in place for the next few weeks whilst we ease out of restrictions, including the use of masks whilst moving around the theatre, the use of our app to order drinks whilst our bar remains closed and our increased cleaning regimes.
The most important change is that visitors to the theatre will now be asked to present a valid NHS COVID Pass to gain entry, something that is encouraged and supported by the UK Government. This pass can be generated quickly and easily using the NHS app or by calling 119 to get a paper copy.
The digital pass does NOT reveal to us what your exact medial status is, it is simply an indication of one of the following (we are not told which):
- COVID vaccination
- Negative PCR or Lateral Flow test within the past 48 hours
- Positive PCR test within the past 6 months, therefore natural immunity
If you are unable to generate an NHS COVID Pass then we will accept vaccination cards or negative test confirmations.
We are taking this step as a temporary measure to ensure that we are doing as much as we possibly can to get back to normality as safely as possible. We will review the measures again on Monday 16th August with the view to removing them completely.
We hope you understand and look forward to seeing you at the theatre again soon.
