We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Douglas Gorin - a true gentleman of the stage and a much-loved part of our 'Old Tyme Music Hall' summer seasons in the early 2000s.
Douglas Gorin at the Gorleston Pavilion Theatre
Douglas was the very definition of an old-fashioned entertainer, with a rich baritone voice and timeless style that charmed audiences across the country. He loved spending his summers in Gorleston and the cast, crew and staff who worked alongside him will remember him with great fondness.
From his early days in Grantham to national tours with the Black & White Minstrels and appearances alongside stars such as Freddie Starr and Edward Woodward, Douglas brought joy wherever he performed and we were lucky to be part a small part of his story.
His passion, warmth and generosity left a lasting mark on our theatre community and he will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by us all.
Tonight's Summer Showtime performance (Tuesday 13th May) is dedicated to Douglas ❤️
