Visitors to Gorlestonās seafront will notice a cheerful new addition this week, as a series of vibrant planters have been installed throughout the Pavilion bandstand gardens.
New planters in the Gorleston Pavilion Bandstand gardens
The planters, filled with seasonal flowers and greenery, are part of a wider effort to brighten up the area and make it even more welcoming for locals and visitors alike. The project was made possible thanks to a generous grant from Great Yarmouth Borough Council, awarded through their Community Green Spaces funding programme.
The gardens have become a focal point for community events in recent years featuring live music and other cultural events and the addition of fresh planting helps to enhance the space for everyone.
Speaking about the project, Alex Youngs from the Pavilion said, "Weāre really grateful to the borough council for supporting this small but meaningful improvement. The gardens are such a loved part of the seafront, and this gives them a bit of extra care and colour as we head into summer."
The funding has covered the cost of planters, compost, plants and installation, with ongoing maintenance supported by the Pavilionās team of staff and volunteers.
The bandstand gardens are open to the public year-round, and regular live events take place on the bandstand stage throughout the summer with the Pavilion's Summer Sundays at the Bandstand season of live music.
We're a small team doing big things. With your help, we can do even more. āŗ
