Did you know there are huge potential benefits for your mind and body when you meditate and practice mindfulness? There is now a huge body of scientific evidence and research studies that show how meditation can positively impact our health and wellbeing, such as reducing stress and blood pressure, improving sleep & mood, and regulating our nervous system & emotions. Meditation isn't about turning off our brains; it's about taking some time to observe our minds and bodies as they are, learning techniques and tools for letting go of worries and anxieties, and embracing the present moment.
Intrigued to find out more and try it yourself? Come and join local Meditation Teacher Emma who will guide you through a wide range of meditation practices. Emma has practiced meditation herself for over 17 years and experienced such significant benefits from it that she decided to train with and become a member of the British School of Meditation so that she could share meditation with more people.
Hot drinks are provided in these sessions, included in the ticket price. No experience needed to attend, open to all aged 18+ however the room can only be accessed via stairs so is not fully accessible. After booking you will be asked to complete a short form to comply with health and safety requirements. There will be standard seats at the class but if you feel you'd prefer to sit on lay on a yoga mat, please feel free to bring one along with you. We suggest you bring along a bottle of water and an extra layer as the weather gets cooler.
